Here is an interesting Bookmark Painting Idea by @pixie.artistry using Menorah Bookmarks:
Materials required
- Menorah watercolor bookmarks (3)
- Sketch pen
- Watercolor
- Round paint brush
- Double sided tape
- Scissor
- Letter stamp
Sketch anything that you would like on your bookmark for beginners like a boy & a girl, cartoon figures, cute animals etc. Once done, colour the outline.
Use another bookmark for the base of your card. This will be strip no. 1 and it is colored yellow here.
Take another bookmark and cut a thin rectangular strip of about 0.5 to 1 inch. This strip is the tiniest of all. It is used to pull and move the character.
Do not paste this strip. Just gently place it over strip no.1. You can colour it to match your first strip if you wish.
Take out bookmark no.3 and make a small rectangular cut like a window (smaller than strip no. 2) in the middle of the strip. This will let you pull your 2nd strip and see your character move.
You can color it in a different shade or leave it as it is. Stick this white strip with double sided tape, only on the length side. So, from the edges you can pull the 2nd thin strip.
Stick one character permanently on the 3rd white strip.
Stick your movable character on the middle 2nd strip. Note that the character should be bigger than the cut hole.
Write a cute message or a love note on the 1st yellow strip and not on the 2nd. Otherwise, the words would move and be hidden when you pull the middle strip.
Pull out your card and watch the magic!
