Materials needed :

Menorah mixed media sketchbook

Gouache paint

Flat brush

Round brush

1. Mist :

                    Let’s start with mist painting techniques. Mix white gouache with black in the ratio of 5:1. Use this mixture to paint the top most layer of the sketchbook.

                        To achieve a gradient, add more white paint to the mixture and paint the layers below.

      2.Trees:

                          The trees appear darker when covered by mist. So, lets change the ratio a little and mix white and black in the ratio 3:2.

                           Draw a few trees in the front of the 180 GSM Paper with a round brush. Dab your brush and paint more leaves towards the back to give an illusion of thick growth of tress under the mist.

      3.Sidewalk:

                        Sidewalks filled with wild plants are a beauty of their own. Make an outline of the road at the center of the mixed media sketchbook.

                          Paint either side of it with a layer of black paint, as it appears from a distance. Draw the plants with dark green paint and highlight with light green for a realistic effect.

       4. Details:

                 For extra details, draw an electric post with black paint and round bush.

      5.Road :

                          Paint the road with grey gouache paint on your 180 GSM paper sketchbook. Make the traffic lane markings in white at the centre and sides of the road.
